Male and Female Scholar Athletes of the Year '05-'06

Amanda McCormick

Soccer, Lacrosse

She currently has attained a 4.14 cumulative grade point average.

In soccer she was our leader in assists as well as our top goal scorer.  she was named Offensive MVP for the 2002-2003 season. In her sophomore year she helped lead the girls soccer team to the Florida State Soccer Finals in the 6A Division, and this prior year continued in her ability to be a significant contributor to the team.

During her sophomore and junior years at WPHS , Amanda was a part of the varsity team at Winter Park High School, she gained status as the leading scorer both years and assist contributor. During her senior year at Winter Park High School, Amanda was a captain and leading scorer of the team and was also a leading assist contributor. She was also named 1st team all metro and 1st team all county.

Besides soccer, she has proven to be an overall athlete and even led the varsity lacrosse team in defense to a District Championship and as a Regional Finalist in 2005 and continues to be one of the lacrosse team’s leading scorers.   Amanda also has played Varsity Lacrosse for our school for two years. With regard to her efforts put into OUR community, Amanda has put over 300 hours community service  with Pet Rescue over the last three years.

She has been admitted to the Manhattan College School of Engineering for the fall 2006.

Corey Rabazinski

Football, Basketball

3 year starter in football, Senior Captain, leader on championship team, all metro, district, and central Florida. Cory was the 6th man on the state runner up basketball team, signed football scholastic to U.C.F. Cory is a solid A B student and a well respected as a student, athlete by the faculty and student body.
