Autumn Browning

She currently has a 4.8 GPA and is in the International Baccalaureate program. She is involved with the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Government, and DARE. She has also received the WPHS Principal Award and the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence for 3 years. She has also received a full scholarship to Southern Methodist University to continue her education as well as her soccer career.
Autumn has also done very well on the soccer field. She has been a member of the varsity soccer team here at Winter Park since her freshman year. During that time, she has scored over 100 goals and recorded over 50 assists. She has been on the All Conference, All District, and All State Teams multiple times. In 2001, she was MVP of the Michelle Akers Classic. She has also been on the Michelle Akers Classic Tournament Team for 3 years in a row. She was also the WPHS Offensive MVP for the 2001-2002 season, WPHS MVP-Best All Around for the 2002-2003 season, and the WPHS MVP for the 2003-2004 season.

Finally, Autumn was selected to the Women’s Soccer All-State first team during her senior season while leading her team to the Final Four. Along with her school accomplishments, Autumn has also been part of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and she plays for a club team called the U-18 CSA All-Stars. She has made the Florida State Team from 1999-2003. She is a State ODP Starter (Center Mid) and also plays on the USYSA Region III Premier League Team.

Some of her teams accomplishments include: 2002 Orange Classic U17 Champions – CSA, 2002 Superclubs Region Champions U17 – CSA, 2003 Superclubs National Champions, and 2003 Orange Classic U18 Champions. As you can see, Autumn has done great when it comes to both soccer and academics. She is a very special person who will do many great things. It has been my pleasure to have known Autumn over the last couple of years and she is very deserving of the Athlete of the Year.
